65 Sunroof Standard

1958 binz special model Binz crewcab. this was a coachbuilt crewcab which was produced in the years before VW committed to making their own crewcabs. another rare model. not too many exist these days.

1953 Barndoor DeluxeThe bus that started it all!This is my old 53 Deluxe that i purchased in its former pimp glory back in 1998. Over the next 2 years i worked on it almost every night after my regular job. This would be my first actual full restoration and i feel the results were very good. Enough to launch myself into restoring as a career.

The most recent of work dragged into the shop is this 1957 european delivery standard. it is a pretty rough peice but there were some interesting plans hashed out over a few tasty beers.
when the bus was aquired by its owner, the nose had already been clipped and just tacked lightly into place.

 1958 deluxe considered a rare bus being a 15 window pressed bumper bus rather than typical 23 window sunroof,this bus showed up to my shop in late 2001. it sat a few years as storage until i could make time for it. obviously the owner was not in a rush to get it done.

Doublecab meets Singlecab bed . This project idea was hatched up long ago by its previous owner. A singlecab which got hit from behind and flipped the truck ruining the cab and lightly damaged on the passenger corner. Then a crewcab was found that was pretty rusty in the rear and the 2 were then mated to make a longbed doublecab.

i picked this bus up back in 2000 for my own stable. it sat around for about a year until i had time to dig in.
this one was an ugly mess. hippied out ,rusted out and just forgotten about for 25 some years. i had a vision!
